We saw a few of these coil-less Asian safety pins in a photo somewhere many moons ago and immediately went on a hunt for them, thinking (quite rightly) that they'd be ideal stitch markers. Slender and elegant in antiqued brass, they do their job without getting in your way. We love them so much we use them even for projects where "removable" isn't a requirement. Of course, they also work for anything you'd use a standard safety pin for.
