Brooke Sinnes, the woman behind Sincere Sheep yarns, is a one-woman wonder. Based in Napa Valley, she spins, knits, weaves, teaches and dyes. And this is a woman who knows her wool — literally. She carefully sources all of the yarn for her line, and dyes every skein herself, in small batches, using only natural dyes. This yarn is sure to be a treat for you, whether you're giving it to yourself or knitting it into a gift for someone else. Our free Double Basketweave Cowl pattern puts two skeins to luxurious use.

Luminous is a DK (light worsted-weight) Polwarth wool, with a bit of Tussah silk, which makes for an exquisitely soft and squishy yarn. It takes the natural dyes beautifully — these colors really are luminous. And each skein is 330 yards of wooly goodness.

Vitamin C = soft medium orange
Deepest Desire = slightly grayish grape
Bare = undyed and unbleached
Virid = lightly variegated, grassy yellow-green
Kung Hay Fat Choi = light pinkish-red
Modern Alchemy = semi-solid indigo

IMPORTANT NOTE: There is natural color variation in the use of plant dyes, and even more variation in colors from one computer screen to the next. We've described the colors as accurately as possible, but they will likely vary slightly from what you see on your monitor. We fill orders from single dye lots, so be sure to order as much as you need.
